Underwater in the Bahamas

THE BAHAMAS, it should go without saying, are surrounded by water. And as a guest of the Caribbean island(s) nation I was surrounded by water too. Thank god. Because this water is awesome – sometimes placid and clear, sometimes tempestuous and rough – the water had a personality all its own. Using my Gopro I tried to captured all of the various temperaments of the water that The Bahamas enjoys. I had a great time fishing, snorkeling, beach combing and exploring with my fellow adventurers Lee Abbamonte, Matt Kepnes, Mike Richard and Matt Long. Hiking Runyon Canyon at midnight

LATE, LATE AT NIGHT as the city buzzes under the blanket of almost dark I am climbing the dusty trails of Runyon Canyon for a view of LA at night that few have the occasion to glimpse. From the ridge line trails of Runyon you are astride the peaks of the ancient Santa Monica mountains and you have some of the best views of the city. From this vantage it is never dark, not so long as the city glows and glimmers. Runyon officially closes at dusk, but those who know, know that the gate never closes and the crowds that pack the park at sunset are nonexistent as the full moon shines down on LA. I love having the park and the sweeping views of the city to myself. This time I pack my camera to capture do some long exposure photographs of the Los Angeles skyline.
